Gagan Narang withdraws his nomination from the NRAI elections

London Olympics bronze medallist Gagan Narang has withdrawn his nomination for the NRAI president's post, extending full support to incumbent Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo. Narang cited a shared vision for the sport's growth and confidence in Deo's leadership. The NRAI elections are scheduled for December 4th in Mohali.

PUNE: London Olympics bronze medallist shooter-turned-administrator Gagan Narang has withdrawn his nomination for the president’s post at the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) elections, and announced extending full support for the incumbent Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) vice president had filed his nomination for the NRAI chief’s post for the Dec 4 elections in Mohali. “I met Kalikesh, who shared his vision for the growth of the shooting sport. We both share a common goal — to take the sport to new heights — and I believe he and his team will hold the shooting flag high,” Gagan told TOI
